Who Did Daniel See?

Who Did Daniel See?

The Jewish prophet, Daniel, was gifted with the most amazing visions of any of Gods prophets in all of the Torah.

He prophesied the fall of the great Babylonian Kingdom and the rise of the mighty empires of the Greeks and the Romans. He predicted the destruction of the Second Temple 600 years before it occurred. He even foretold the exact year that the Messiah would arrive! His ability to experience and interpret divine revelations caused him to be promoted to the rank of 2nd in command in all of Babylon where he lived during the Babylonian exile, 586 B.C. to 516 B.C.

But of all of Daniels visions, by far the greatest one is recorded in the book of Daniel, chapter 7, verses 13 and 14

In my vision at night I looked, and there before me was one like a son of man, coming with the clouds of heaven. He approached the Ancient of Days and was led into his presence. He was given authority, glory and sovereign power; all peoples, nations and men of every language worshiped him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away, and his kingdom is one that will never be destroyed.

The Jewish Encyclopedia admits that the Son of Man whom Daniel saw meant that the person of the Messiah is alluded toa view shared by the Rabbis. www.jewishencyclopedia.com/view.jsp?artid=123&letter=M&search=son%20of%20man

The same Jewish Encyclopedia defines the title, Ancient of Days as being A poetical epithet for God used only in Dan. vii. 9, 13, 22

So, dear reader, I ask you again, Who did Daniel see?

It appears clear that the great prophet was privileged to see a future scene in heaven itself! Daniel saw the person of the Messiah brought before the very throne of God where He is given authority, power and rule over a kingdom of faithful, loving followers who will include not just Jewish people, but men of every nation and language! That kingdom will never be destroyed. AWESOME!

How intriguing it is, in the light of Daniels vision, to remember the words of Yeshua spoken in the book of Matthew, chapter 28, verse 18

And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.
Now that we have answered the main question of this essay, one more thing must be pointed out. Here in our own Torah we can see that the Messiah is
allowed by God to receive worship! In fact, it appears that our God, the Ancient of Days, intended the Son of Man to receive worship!

Yeshua is referred to in the New Testament scriptures by many titlesSavior, Lord, Master and many more! Can you guess which title Jesus used to refer to himself more than any other? It is the Son of Man the same Son of Man whom the great prophet Daniel had seen in his heavenly vision 500 yrs.before!

At his trial, the High Priest stood up and asked Yeshua a direct question

Again the high priest asked him, Are you the Messiah, the Son of the Blessed One? I am, said Jesus. And you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven.

It was for this exact declaration that the Jewish Sanhedrin judged Yeshua guilty of blasphemy and worthy of death in 33 A.D. Now it is your turn to decide

Read the other articles on this page, especially The Rabbis Confusion and The Pearl of Passover. Pray that the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob will guide your mind and your heart to learn the true identity of this man, Yeshua.
But judge carefully because, one day soon, the real Messiah will indeed be given all authority to decide about you, and his judgment will determine where you will spend eternity!

The Ruach Ha Kodesh (Holy Spirit) is even now knocking upon the door of your heart If you send tradition to the door to answer the knock of truth then
the guilty verdict you issue to Yeshua will one day return upon your own head!

But if you judge Yeshua correctly, then, one day soon, you will stand alongside 100s of millions of shouting, singing peoples, nations and men of every language and worship him joyfully in an everlasting dominion that will not pass away !

May God confirm His Truth to you with His Shalom
I am His scribe and your friend,

Asher
