Who Spoke To Ezekiel ?

Who Spoke To Ezekiel ?

Ezekiel was a Jewish prophet of God. He was born into a priestly family and so grew up in the environment of the Great Temple in Jerusalem. Ezekiel was included in one of the earlier groups of Jewish captives who were sent into exile in Babylon after that nation conquered Judah about the year 600 B.C.
There in Babylon, this priest and prophet experienced a divine vision!

In this vision, Ezekiel saw many wondrous things. He saw unearthly creatures with 4 faces and 4 wings; he saw flying wheels covered with eyes; he saw a beautiful throne of sapphire set upon a firmament of awesome shining crystal.
Each image had a meaning and a message for Ezekiel to convey to his people, Israel. Yet of all of the spectacular revelations which Ezekiel saw, none was ever more meaningful nor memorable than the vision he tells of here

Above the expanse over their heads was what looked like a throne of sapphire, [fn6] and high above on the throne was a figure like that of a man. I saw that from what appeared to be his waist up he looked like glowing metal, as if full of fire, and that from there down he looked like fire; and brilliant light surrounded him.
Like the appearance of a rainbow in the clouds on a rainy day, so was the radiance around him. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the LORD. When I saw it, I fell facedown, and I heard the voice of one speaking.Ezek. 1:26-28

But there is a problem here which neither rabbis nor Talmudic scholars have ever solvedin our Torah (Old Testament), Exodus chap.33, verse 20 says:

But, he said, you cannot see my face, for no one may see me and live. -Ex. 33:20

Ever since we were kinderlach (little children), we have been taught that
God can never take human form. Yet here we see a heavenly throne occupied by a divine person who has the form of a man but bears the appearance of the Lord in His glory! Then, just to complete the mystery, he receives the worship of a great prophet as no angel ever would. Finally, He speaks the word of the Lord to Ezekiel and to his people!

We are all impressed to ask the same obvious question about this most amazing vision Who spoke to Ezekiel ? Dear friend, being Jewish, I will attempt to answer our question by asking 3 of my own

Who can sit on a heavenly throne other than one who has divine authority?

Who can shine with the glory of God other than the Holy One of Israel?

Who is allowed to receive the worship of prophets other than God Himself?

Yet if God is not a man, then to whom would Yahweh give such authority and such glory? I have been researching this question since 1971 and I believe with all of my heart and mind that there can only be one such person
Mashiach ben David, the Messiah of Israel and the Son of the Living God!

Our God Himself has given our Jewish Messiah divine authority and divine glory. He has also been given the right to judge all people and all nations, including our own Jewish people. If you are like me, then you may also have been taught in Cheder (temple school) that the Messiah is a great person but not a divine person. This troubled me because Yeshua himself claimed to be divine. In Mark 16:64-66 there is a clear declaration of this truth made at his final trial before the Jewish Sanhedrin (rabbinical court)

The High priest asked him, Are you the Messiah, the Son of the Living God? Jesus said, I am, and you shall see (me) the Son of Man (Messiah) coming in the clouds of heaven

When I used to read verses like this, I knew that either Yeshua was deceived, as many Hasidim (Orthodox Jews) believe or else the rabbis have been wrong in their understanding of who the Messiah really is! I prayed to the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob to show me the truth. I specifically prayed that He would lead me to find a truth from the Torah to answer the question if Messiah was a divine person with divine authority or just a righteous and holy man as so many Jewish people have been taught.

Sometime during that next week, I found a passage of scripture which I had never seen beforeI quote it below so that you will know that God answers prayer, especially when we have the courage to ask Him to show us the truth!
If you will do this, then He will reveal to you the identity of His Anointed One who came to bring our people salvation!

In my vision at night I looked, and there before me was one like a son of man, coming with the clouds of heaven. He approached the Ancient of Days and was led into his presence. He was given authority, glory and sovereign power; all peoples, nations and men of every language worshiped him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away, and his kingdom is one that will never be destroyed.- Daniel 7:13,14

Dear friend, if you have felt strange stirrings in you heart as you have been reading this article, then I challenge you to take one hour of your life here on earth to inquire into the identity of this Messiah-King who spoke to Ezekiel.

He sits upon a heavenly throne with God-given authority to judge every nationeven our nationeven you! Read a few more of the articles on this site, especially The Anti-Semitism of God! and The Secret Pearl of Passover, or visit some of the other sites listed under related links.

When you are done, do what I did; what 100,000 other Jewish people have done over the last 30 yearspray to the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob to show you the truth about the identity of Messiah. This is a kosher prayer!

If Yeshua is NOT Gods Anointed One, wouldnt the Living God (Elohim) be faithful to steer a Jewish soul away from error? If Yehua IS our own long-lost Messiah, wouldnt our God be faithful to reveal this wondrous truth to any Jew who sincerely prayed to be shown? Our own Torah promises us that

if you call out for insight and cry aloud for understanding,
and if you look for it as for silver and search for it as for hidden treasure,
then you will understand the fear of the LORD and find the knowledge of God.
For the LORD gives wisdom, and from his mouth come knowledge and understanding.
 Proverbs 2:3-6

May the God of Abraham guide you as you search for the life, the truth and the way.

May God confirm His Truth to you with His Shalom
I am His scribe and your friend,

Asher
